Removal

WARNING: THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT NECESSARY FOR SYSTEM DEPLOYMENT IS POWERED DIRECTLY FROM THE BATTERY AND BACKUP POWER SUPPLY. TO AVOID ACCIDENTAL DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY, THE BATTERY GROUND CABLE AND BACKUP POWER SUPPLY MUST BE DISCONNECTED PRIOR TO SERVICING OR REPLACING ANY SYSTEM COMPONENTS.

1. Disconnect battery ground cable and backup power supply.
2. Remove battery and battery tray.
3. Remove wiring locator from sheet metal.







4. Disconnect LH front sensor electrical connector mounted to LH shock tower.
5. Remove three screws attaching LH sensor to LH radiator support and remove sensor from vehicle.

Installation
1. Position LH sensor to LH radiator support and secure with three screws. Tighten screw to 4.4-6.0 N.m (38-53 lb-in).
2. Connect LH front sensor electrical wiring connector to wiring assembly connector.
3. Install wiring locator into hole in sheet metal.
4. Install battery tray and battery.
5. Connect backup power supply and battery ground cable.
6. Verify air bag indicator lamp.
