Owner Letter

Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited (Ford) is offering a no-charge Service Program (B92) involving Daytime Running Lights on certain 1990-model Lincoln Town Car, Continental and Mark VII cars. Our records indicate that you own the 1990 (vehicle) bearing the following serial number:

Reason For This Program

Cars involved in this Program were intended to be equipped with the Daytime Running Lights System. Your car may or may not be equipped with an electronic module required to make this System perform. Cars with the module would have the System but could encounter noise and/or blinking from the instrument cluster. Cars without the module do not have the System.

In the interest of customer satisfaction with our products, we believe all owners of our 1990-model Lincoln Town Car, Continental and Mark VII cars should benefit from the Daytime Running Lights System. We have created this Program (B92) to ensure that all of these 1990 Luxury cars have properly operating Daytime Running Lights Systems.

What You Should Do

Telephone your Lincoln-Mercury dealer immediately and ask for a service date. Mention this letter and Service Program B92.

What We Will Do

Your dealer will install a Daytime Running Light module on your car. Cars presently equipped with modules will have them replaced.

Program Limitations

This Service Program is available during the basic vehicle warranty coverage period or through December 31, 1991, whichever provides the greater coverage.

How Long Will The Service Take?

Installation of the Daytime Running Lights module will take about one hour. Your dealer may, however, need your car longer, depending upon service schedules.

Changed Address Or No Longer Own The Vehicle

If you have changed your name, address or no longer own the vehicle, please complete the enclosed prepaid postcard and mail it to us.

If you cannot get the service performed, contact the "National Owner Relations Office", or the nearest Ford of Canada Regional Office. The addresses and telephone numbers for these offices are shown in your Vehicle's Owner Guide. Your dealer can also provide you with this information. Please identify your vehicle's serial number in any correspondence.

Ford is taking this action as a part of its ongoing efforts to maintain owner confidence in its products. We appreciate your purchase of a Lincoln product and hope that this program serves to assure your continued satisfaction and patronage.
