Reason For This Program

This program provides for replacement or installation of the Daytime Running Lights module on affected cars.

Early 1990-models produced through approximately the end of August 1989 were equipped with modules that could create chattering in the AutoLamp relay and/or chattering or blinking of the instrument cluster. Cars produced after the end of August and prior to November 30, 1989 were not equipped with a Daytime Running Light module, but contain a jumper in the wiring harness at the module location.

Vehicles Affected

1990-Model Lincoln Town Car, Continental and Mark VII cars produced prior to November 30, 1989.

Program Provisions And Limitations

Owners of affected cars will be notified to return their cars for replacement or installation of the Daytime Running Lights module.

Service under this program is available for the duration of the vehicle's basic warranty or through December 31, 1991, whichever provides the greater coverage.
