Attachment V - Technical Instructions - Mark VII
Replace or install new Daytime Running Lights Module (DRL) using the following steps:1. Locate Connector to the DRL System on the outside of the left hand Apron (Figure 3).
2. Pull the connector from the side of the apron and remove the jumper plug from the connector. (If a DRL Module is already installed, remove the connector from the DRL Module, and unscrew the DRL Module and bracket assembly from the apron. Mutilate and scrap this DRL Module.)
3. Slip the J-Clip on to the apron.
4. Insert the tab on the bracket through the slot in apron (partially hidden by the bracket which the horns are mounted on) into mounting position.
5. Screw bolt into J-Clip firmly.
6. Assemble connector to the DRL Module.
7. Verify the system is working properly. The high beam lamps should have a reduced intensity whenever the ignition switch is in the "RUN" position, the Parking Brake is fully released, and the normal headlamp system is "OFF" (using either the headlamp switch or the Auto-Lamp feature).
