This TSB article is being republished in its entirety to clarify the parts listed as a Service Gear Set and NOT a kit as previously stated.

ISSUE:
A transmission gear "whine" may occur because of inconsistencies in machining gear geometry on the reverse sun gear and long pinions in the planetary. The noise is most pronounced while in Overdrive at speeds of 42 to 60 mph (68-96 km/h). The noise is not present at the same speeds if the vehicle is driven in the "D" range.

ACTION:
Install an AOD Service Gear Set which includes a Planetary Gear, Reverse Sun Gear and Shell Assembly. Refer to Section 07 of the Car Service Manual for service details.
