This article is being republished in its entirety to include Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis models.
ISSUE:
Vehicles may be low in the rear when loaded with passengers and/or luggage. Also the "air suspension" light may be illuminated. This may be caused by the system air supply line at the "Y" connector near the No. 4 crossmember rubbing against the body and wearing a hole through the air line.
ACTION:
Install an improved service replacement air line (F2VY-5A897-A, Town Car, F2AZ-5A897-B, Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis) which incorporates a protective shield in the concern areas, or repair the air line using the service union assembly (E4LY-5B322-A) which acts as its own protective shield. Refer to the 1994 Lincoln Town Car, Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis Service Manual, Section 04-05 for service details.
