ISSUE: A high pitch whistle from the rear window area may be caused by the shape of the glass mounted telephone antenna mast.
ACTION: Use the following service procedure to see if a new service antenna mast is required. The new service mast will reduce windnoise.
1. Unscrew the telephone antenna mast.
2. Test drive the car to see if the whistle is gone.
3. If the whistle is gone, install a new antenna mast (FOVY-18A886-A).
4. Screw the antenna mast into the base until finger-tight.
5. Throw away the old antenna mast.
