Rubber Deflector Installation

1. Remove the wiper module from the car. Refer to the 1990 Lincoln Town Car Shop Manual, Section 35-60 for service details.

2. Lay the module on a bench with the motor up.

3. Position the template on the wiper module, Figures 1 & 2.

4. Line up the edges as indicated by the arrows, Figure 1.

5. Using the two "X"s on the template, mark the locations for the two holes, Figure 2.

6. Drill two 6 mm holes at the marked locations.

7. Squeeze the rubber valve door to the module and install the clip, Figure 3.

8. Install the deflector on the wiper module using the two push-pins, Figure 3 & 4.

9. Install a 9" (229 mm) piece of foam tape, (E4AZ-19627-B), on the module, Figure 5. Position one end at the locator pin and butt it up to the existing piece of foam.

10. Install the wiper module on the car.
