Lighting and Horns: Description and Operation

Voltage is present at the Main Light Switch at all times. With the Main Light Switch in the HEAD position, voltage is applied to the Multi-Function Switch cornering switch contacts through the Main Light Switch and circuit 502 (GY).

Pivoting the Multi-Function Switch lever downward closes the cornering switch left turn contacts in the Multi-Function Switch. Current flows through the Main Light Switch, circuit 502 (GY), the Multi-Function Switch, circuit 380 (P/Y) and the Left Cornering Lamp. The Lamp illuminates until the turn is completed and the Multi-Function Switch lever returns to the center (neutral) position.

Operation of the Right Cornering Lamp is the same as operation of the Left Cornering Lamp, except that circuit 379 (BR/W) is used in place of circuit 380 (P/Y).
