Front Sensors and Brackets
RemovalWARNING: THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT NECESSARY FOR SYSTEM DEPLOYMENT IS POWERED DIRECTLY FROM THE BATTERY. TO AVOID ACCIDENTAL DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY, THE POSITIVE BATTERY CABLE MUST BE DISCONNECTED PRIOR TO SERVICING OR REPLACING AN SYSTEM COMPONENTS.
1. Disconnect positive battery cable.
2. Remove three screws retaining RH/LH front sensor to radiator support and GOP bracket and remove sensor.
Installation
1. Position RH/LH front sensor and wire lead in vehicle and secure sensor to RH/LH fender apron with two retaining nuts. Tighten screws to 10.2-13.8 N.m (91-122 lb-in).
2. Connect RH/LH front sensor wire lead connector to connector.
3. Connect positive battery cable.
4. Verify air bag indicator.
