EG8 Checking Wiring Harness

^ The air suspension control module has detected a short in the circuit which is used to provide power to air suspension height sensors even with all three height sensors removed from circuit. This leaves just two possible causes of the short (vehicle wiring harness or air suspension control module). In order to determine which one is cause of the short the following actions are required:

^ Disconnect air suspension control module connector.

^ Turn air suspension switch to ON position.

^ Using an analog ohmmeter, connect one lead to wiring harness connector Pin 22 (Circuit 431B) and other to Pin 40 (Circuit 430G).

^ Is ohmmeter reading greater than 10,000 ohms?

YES -- Go to EG9.

NO -- SERVICE short in wiring harness Circuit 431B. REFER to Diagrams/Electrical. REPEAT Service Bay Diagnostics. Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
