EH8 Component Check

^ The previous steps have verified that vehicle wiring harness is not the cause of short. There are two possible causes that must now be checked (soft shock relay or control module). In order to determine which one is causing the short the following is required:

^ Turn air suspension switch to OFF position.

^ Reconnect air suspension control module to vehicle wiring harness.

^ Turn air suspension switch to ON position.

^ Repeat Service Bay Diagnostics without soft shock relay connected to vehicle wiring harness.

NOTE: This test procedure will generate extra error codes because soft shock relay is not connected to vehicle wiring harness.

^ Did STAR Tester display code 47 again?

YES -- Turn air suspension switch to OFF position. REPLACE air suspension control module. REPEAT Service Bay Diagnostics. Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

NO -- REPLACE soft shock relay. REPEAT Service Bay Diagnostics. Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
