EI8 Component Check

^ The previous steps have verified that vehicle wiring harness is not cause of short. There are two possible causes that must now be checked (firm shock relay or control module). In order to determine which one is causes the short the following is required:


^ Turn air suspension switch to OFF position.

^ Reconnect air suspension control module to vehicle wiring harness.

^ Turn air suspension switch to ON position.

^ Repeat Service Bay Diagnostics without firm shock relay being connected to vehicle wiring harness.

NOTE: This test procedure will generate extra error codes because the firm shock relay is not connected to the vehicle wiring harness.

^ Did STAR Tester display code 48 again?

YES -- TURN air suspension switch to OFF position. REPLACE air suspension control module. REPEAT Service Bay Diagnostics. Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

NO -- REPLACE firm shock relay. REPEAT Service Bay Diagnostics. Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
