GC7 Component Check Actuate to Soft Position -- Pin 2

GC7 COMPONENT CHECK ACTUATE TO SOFT POSITION -- PIN 2

^ Use a 12 volt power supply and connect negative lead to actuator Pin 4 and positive lead to Pin 3 for 1 to 2 seconds. This procedure should drive actuator to SOFT position. After this has been done remove power supply leads.

^ Using an analog ohmmeter, measure resistance across actuator Pin 1 and Pin 2.

^ Ohmmeter reading is:

10,000 ohms or greater -- Power supply circuits greater (Pins 3 and 4) are reversed. REPLACE left front actuator. REPEAT Service Bay Diagnostics. Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

5 ohms or less -- GO to GC8.
