IB7 Compressor Cool Down

^ The air compressor has an internal thermal non-cycling circuit breaker in it that opens B+ power supply to air compressor armature when internal temperature exceeds a predetermined limit. In order for this thermal circuit breaker to be reset, the following two things must happen:

1) The internal temperature must drop below predetermined limit and

2) Power to the compressor must be removed.

^ In this part of the test, allow compressor to cool down for 15 minutes. The air compressor thermal circuit breaker may have been tripped by repeatedly running diagnostic checks.

^ Has at least 15 minutes elapsed since air compressor was disconnected from vehicle wiring harness?

YES -- GO to IB8.

NO -- CONTINUE with Step IB7 until 15 minutes has elapsed.
