ID15 Checking Wiring Harness (Circuit 420)

^ It is desired to activate Compressor Toggle functional test again. In order to do this the following action is required:

^ Release STAR test button so that it remains in the up HOLD position after code 31 has been displayed for at least 5 seconds.

^ Using a voltmeter, connect positive lead to Circuit 420 of the air compressor relay's wiring harness connector and negative lead to Circuit 430B.

NOTE: As long as STAR test button is in the up HOLD position the selected functional test will continue. The Compressor Toggle test is used to verify that the air suspension control module can activate the air compressor. This is done by cycling it ON and OFF continuously until STAR test button is depressed down again.

^ Does voltage reading fluctuate between zero and battery voltage (check is to be made over a one minute time period)?

YES -- INSTALL a new air compressor relay, RECONNECT air compressor assembly and then REPEAT Service Bay Diagnostics. Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

NO -- GO to ID16.
