JD1 Code 74 Steering Wheel Rotation Not Detected

^ The air suspension control module has not received the signal that the steering wheel was rotated in both directions after STAR Tester displayed a code 12 or 13.

^ There are seven possible causes of the air suspension control module not detecting that the steering wheel was rotated at least a 1/4 turn in both directions.

^ Steering wheel was not rotated at least a 1/4 turn in both directions at the proper time.

^ B+ power supply circuit to steering wheel sensor may have an open or short in it.

^ Ground return circuit may have an open in it.

^ Steering sensor channel "A" circuit may have an open or short in it.

^ Steering sensor channel "B" circuit may have an open or short in it.

^ Steering wheel sensor may be inoperative.

^ Air suspension control module may be inoperative.

^ After STAR Tester displayed a code 12 or 13, did steering wheel rotate 1/4 turn in both directions?

YES -- GO to JD2.

NO -- REPEAT Service Bay Diagnostics.
