JD2 Steering Sensor Check (Electrical Check)

^ The steering wheel sensor is made up of two components. One is the electrical sensor and the other is a metal shutter wheel. In order to determine where the problem is located, the following visual inspections are required:

^ Check wires to steering wheel sensor located on lower portion of steering column to ensure that there is no obvious damage and that they are in proper location and connected to the vehicle wiring harness.

^ Does steering sensor wiring have no damage and are all wires in proper location?

YES -- GO to JD3.

NO -- SERVICE wiring problems and REPEAT Service Bay Diagnostics. Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
