JD4 Component Check (Circuit 633)

^ In order to determine where the electrical problem is located. The following actions are required:

^ Turn STAR Tester switch to OFF position.

^ Turn air suspension switch to OFF position and disconnect air suspension control module.

^ Using a jumper wire, connect air suspension control module wiring harness connector Pin 46 to a known good chassis ground.

^ Using an analog ohmmeter (set on 1K scale), connect one lead to the control module wiring harness connector Pin 45 (Circuit 633) and the other to a known good chassis ground.

^ Slowly rotate the steering wheel.

^ Does ohmmeter needle swing from a low reading to a higher resistance and to low again approximately every nine degrees of steering wheel rotation?

YES -- GO to JD5.

NO -- GO to JD6.
