JD6 Wiring Harness Check (Circuit 298H)

^ Disconnect steering wheel sensor (located on lower portion of steering column) from vehicle wiring harness.

^ Using a voltmeter, connect positive lead to the steering sensor wiring harness connector Circuit 298H and the negative lead to a known good chassis ground.

^ Is voltage reading battery voltage?

YES -- GO to JD7.

NO -- SERVICE open in Circuit 298H. REPEAT Service Bay Diagnostics. Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
