System Pre-Checks

1. Verify that the parking brake is fully released. If parking brake is applied, the BRAKE indicator will be illuminated.
2. Check brake fluid levels as outlined.

NOTE: If brake fluid level is low in the master cylinder reservoir, the red BRAKE indicator will illuminate. If brake fluid level in the hydraulic control unit reservoir is low, the amber CHECK ANTI-LOCK BRAKE indicator will be illuminated.

3. Verify that all of the following connectors are connected and the terminals are secure in the connectors:

- 55-pin connector of ABS module.
- 19-pin connector of HCU valve body.
- 4-pin connector of solid state pump motor relay.
- 4-pin connector of pump motor.
- 3-pin connector of master cylinder reservoir.
- 2-pin connector of HCU reservoir.
- 5-pin connector of main power relay.
- 2-pin connector of each wheel speed sensor.
- 2-pin connector of pedal travel switch.
- 2-pin connector of stoplamp switch.

4. Ensure that all fuses and diodes are not damaged.
5. Check battery.
