Rear Wheel Disc
The rear disc brake system uses a pin slider-type caliper assembly and a 11.4 inch cast iron rotor bolted to the rear axle shaft flange. The caliper has a phenolic piston with a seal and a press in type dust boot. The inner pads are interchangeable left to right and use a three finger clip that fits inside the caliper piston. The outer pads are interchangeable left to right and use a dual purpose clip which holds the brake pads on the caliper housing and also prevents caliper rattle.
The flanges on both inner and outer pads slide on a machined surfaces of the brake adapter.
