Cruise Control Switch: Service and Repair
1. Disarm airbag.2. Remove four airbag module to steering wheel retaining nuts.
3. Disconnect airbag electrical connector from clockspring contact connector.
4. Remove airbag module from steering wheel. Place airbag module on a bench with trim cover facing upward.
5. Pry speed control switch bezels off of steering wheel.
6. Remove four speed control switch assembly retaining screws.
7. Disconnect speed control and horn switch connectors, then remove control switch and wire assemblies.
8. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. When reconnecting control and horn switch wiring connectors, ensure that the wires are positioned so that there is no interference when airbag module is installed.
b. Position airbag module on steering wheel so that clockspring contact connector can be connected to the module.
c. Torque airbag module retaining nuts to 36-53 inch lbs.
d. Reactivate airbag.
