SERVICE PARTS RETURN OF OBSOLETE REAR AXLE SHAFT ASSEMBLIES



FORD:
1991-93 CROWN VICTORIA

LINCOLN-MERCURY:
1991-93 GRAND MARQUIS, TOWN CAR



ISSUE:
A revised design rear axle shaft assembly (F2AZ-4234-C) replaces obsolete part (F1AZ-4234-A) which should be withdrawn from your inventory and returned to your facing PDC within 30 days of this TSB.

ACTION:
Return the prior parts from your dealership's inventory.


1. Return obsolete parts (F1AZ-4234-A) to your facing PDC using the least expensive transportation.



2. If claim is processed electronically via DOES II, use Return Code "GB" (indicates unsatisfactory stock).

3. To file a written claim, complete a separate form FPS-340 for the parts.

4. Indicate Reason "J" on written claims (also indicates unsatisfactory stock).

5. In the Remarks Section write "Returned per TSB 92-26-5".



LIMITS

^ The returns must be received within 30 days from the date of this TSB.

^ Returns are restricted to the subject parts.

^ The parts returned must have been purchased from FPSD in accordance with Policy and Procedure Bulletin 4000.

CREDIT

Credit for parts and prepaid freight costs will be issued.

REPLACEMENT STOCK IS AVAILABLE FOR ORDERING IMMEDIATELY.
