CELLULAR PHONE - INOPERATIVE, STATIC, NO RECEPTION AND FAST BUSY SIGNAL

ISSUE:
The Cellular Phone Antenna Cable may become disengaged from the transceiver due to its mounting position on the Decklid Torsion Bar. This may happen when the decklid is opened causing a possible disconnect situation of the antenna from the Cellular Phone Transceiver, affecting reception and transmission of the Cellular Phone.

ACTION:
Reposition the antenna cable tie strap to ensure a proper antenna cable connection with the Cellular Phone Transceiver. Refer to the following procedure for service details.


SERVICE PROCEDURE





1. Remove the tie strap positioned near the transceiver. Refer to Figure 1.



2. Reposition the Cellular Phone Antenna Cable if necessary and install a tie strap around the antenna cable and the wiring harness to the Speaker Interrupt Module. Refer to Figure 1.
