ISSUE:
The EATC biower may emit a loud "whoosh" noise on initial engine start when the EATC system is in the RUN mode ON position. In addition to the "whoosh" noise on Mark VIII units only, the blower may run at high when the manual override is set to lower speeds. These concerns are caused by the micro-processor in the electronic automatic temperature control assembly.
ACTION:
Replace the electronic automatic temperature control assembly. Refer to the 1993 Mark VIII or Town Car Service Manual, Section 12-03, for service details. Refer to the Parts Block in this article for correct parts usage.
