This TSB article is being republished in its entirety to change the screw specified in the article to one with an even larger head, which will not allow the handle to pull off even if it has been pulled off before.
ISSUE:
The inside door pull handle may detach from the trim panel when the door is slammed hard. This condition may be caused by undersized screw heads on the retaining screws, allowing the heads to pull through the handle mounting holes.
ACTION:
Replace the pull handle retaining screws on all doors with new screws (56916-S58A) which will not pull through the handle mounting holes. Do not replace the pull handle for this condition.
CAUTION:
TO AVOID BREAKAGE OF THE DOOR PULL COVERS, INSERT A SCREW DRIVER DIAGONALLY BETWEEN PULL STRAP AND CHROME BRACKET. SNAP OUT BOTH SIDES, THEN REMOVE.
