PROGRAM TIMING
Affected vehicles are eligible for this program through November 30, 1995 regardless of mileage. (After November 30, 1995, a vehicle is still eligible for this program if it is within the vehicle's Bumper-to- Bumper warranty).

AFFECTED VEHICLES

- 1991-1994 Lincoln Town Car built from Job # 1, 1991 through January 26, 1994.
- 1993-1994 Mark VIII built from Job # 1, 1993 through January 26, 1994.
- 1992-1994 Econoline built from Job # 1, 1992 through September 3, 1993.
- 1994 F-Series built from Job # 1 through September 3, 1994.

REASON FOR THIS PROGRAM
On some of these vehicles, the anti-theft alarm system may falsely activate. This may be the result of corrosion between the ignition tamper sensor and the ignition switch casting. False activation can occur with no one near the vehicle and/or by jiggling the key lock cylinder.

SERVICE ACTION
To correct this condition, a redesigned ignition tamper sensor will be installed on each of the affected vehicles. As an added measure to help assure proper anti-theft alarm system function, dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace other components that could cause false activation.

REFUNDS
Only for owner-paid repairs made before the date of the Owner Letter or after the date of the Owner Letter if an emergency repair was made away from the selling dealer.
