RH and LH Primary Crash Sensors
RH AND LH PRIMARY CRASH SENSORSWARNING: The electrical circuit necessary for system deployment is powered directly from the battery. To avoid accidental deployment and possible personal injury, the positive battery cable must be disconnected prior to servicing or replacing any system components.
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect positive battery cable and wait one minute for backup power supply to deplete its stored energy.
2. Remove three screws retaining RH/LH front sensor to radiator support and Grille Opening Panel (GOP) bracket and remove sensor.
INSTALLATION
1. Position RH/LH front primary crash sensor and wire lead in vehicle and secure sensor to RH/LH fender apron with two retaining screws. Tighten screws to 10.2-13.8 Nm (90-122 in lbs).
2. Connect RH/LH front primary crash sensor wire lead connector to connector.
3. Connect positive battery cable.
4. Verify air bag indicator.
