XB69 - Check ACP Signal For Intermittent Operation
- Key "OFF".
- A/C Pressure (ACP) sensor disconnected.
- Disconnect Variable Control Relay Module (VCRM). Inspect for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.
- Connect Digital Volt/Ohm Meter (DVOM) (to measure resistance) between Pin 19 at the VCRM vehicle harness connector and the ACP signal circuit at the ACP sensor vehicle harness connector. Resistance reading should be less than 5.0 ohms.
- Observe DVOM for an indication of a fault while performing the following (the DVOM will read greater than 5.0 ohms when a fault is detected, indicating an open circuit):
- Shake, wiggle, bend the ACP signal circuit from the VCRM vehicle harness connector to the ACP sensor vehicle harness connector.
- Is a fault indicated?
Yes -- Isolate fault and service as necessary. Reconnect all components. Start engine. A/C "ON", wait 20 seconds. Key "OFF". Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
No -- Unable to isolate fault at this time. Reconnect all components.
