Ambient Light Sensor: Description and Operation
PURPOSEThe Day/Night Sensor/Amplifier monitors the ambient light to control the autolamp relay.
As light level decreases, the sensor resistance increases to a preset amount, energizing the relays that turn on the headlamps, the exterior lamps, and the instrument illumination lamps.
The sensor can be adjusted by rotating the sensitivity adjustment screw on the sensor toward the EARLIER or LATER markings.
