Multiplex Communication Network Data Link Diagnostics Test

1. NOTE: The ignition switch must be in RUN position or test will fail. This test is used to verify the proper operation of Circuits 914 (T/O), 915 (PK/LB) of each module on the Multiplex Communication Network.

Perform New Generation Star Tester Hookup and Vehicle Selection as specified. New Generation Star Tester Hookup and Vehicle Selection

2. Rotate dial to menu item "Diagnostic Data Link" and press trigger.

3. Rotate dial to menu item "Data Link Diagnostics" and press trigger to initiate Multiplex Communication Network link test.

4. If results of Circuit 914 (+) = 0000 and Circuit 915 (-) = 0000, then the Multiplex Communication Network link test passed.

If non-zeros returned, then refer to Failed Module Look-up Table to continue diagnosis.
