TIRE - LOW TIRE PRESSURE SENSING SYSTEM - DIAGNOSTICS AND SERVICE TIPS

1995 CONTINENTAL
ISSUE:
The Low Tire Pressure Sensing System (LTPS) may be damaged if the tire is not removed and installed correctly. The LTPS servicing procedure and diagnostics were not included in the 1995 Continental Service Manual. About one hundred (100) 1995 Continentals were produced with LTPS
ACTION:
Refer to the 1996 Continental Service Manual. Section 04-04. for the service procedure and use the following diagnostic procedure which differs slightly from the information published in the 1996 Continental Service Manual LTPS Diagnostic Procedure. The 1995 Continental Service Manual will be updated via SBTS CD-ROM discs in December. 1995.
NOTE:
THE 1995 CONTINENTAL HAS THE WARNING INDICATOR LOCATED IN THE OVERHEAD CONSOLE. IN 1996 CONTINENTALS, AN ADDITIONAL WARNING IS PROVIDED VIA THE VEHICLE'S MESSAGE CENTER.
