FAN - ENGINE COOLING FAN CONTINUES TO RUN
AFTER ENGINE IS SHUT OFF
LINCOLN-MERCURY:
1995-96 CONTINENTAL
ISSUE
The cooling fan may intermittently continue to run after the engine is shut off. This may be caused by the contacts inside the Constant Control Relay Module (CCRM) sticking closed.
ACTION
Replace the CCRM. The revised CCRM has an improved seal to resist moisture entry and reduce the possibility of the contacts sticking. Refer to the appropriate Continental Service Manual for replacement procedures.
