Child Restraint: Adjustments
1. Insert the belt tongue into the proper buckle for that seating position until you hear a "snap" and feel it latch. Make sure the tongue is securely fastened to the buckle. Then let go of the belt webbing that is held in your other hand.
2. Fully extract the shoulder belt until a click is heard. At this time, the retractor is in the automatic locking mode.
3. Push down on the child seat and, at the buckle, pull up on the shoulder belt to tighten the lap portion of the belt.
4. From outside the vehicle, grasp and pull on the shoulder belt portion of the safety belt which secures the child seat in the vehicle.
5. Forcibly tilt the child seat from side-to-side and also forcibly tug it forward to make sure it is held securely in place. If excessive movement occurs, repeat Steps or properly install the child seat in a different seating position in the vehicle.
