Cruise Control Switch: Service and Repair

1. Remove four air bag module to steering wheel retaining nuts.
2. Disconnect air bag electrical connector from clockspring contact connector.
3. Remove air bag module from steering wheel.

WARNING: Place air bag module on a bench with trim cover facing upward.

4. Pry speed control switch bezels off of steering wheel.
5. Remove four speed control switch assembly retaining screws.
6. Disconnect speed control and horn switch connectors, then remove control switch and wire assemblies.
7. Reverse procedure to install, noting following:
a. When reconnecting control and horn switch wiring connectors, ensure wires are positioned so that there is no interference when air bag module is installed.
b. Position air bag module on steering wheel so that clockspring contact connector can be connected to module.
c. Torque air bag module retaining nuts to 36-53 in lb.
