DTC B1697: Driver/Passenger Mirror Switch Short To Battery

B1697-1 - Rerun Self Test

- Make sure that no switches are touched during self test
- Rerun driver seat module self test.

Is DTC B1697 retrieved?

YES GO to B1697-2.
NO EXECUTE self test a third time. If DTC B1697 is not retrieved, original DTC was read incorrectly

B1697-2 - Check Circuit 945 (Y/BK)

- Disconnect driver seat module connector C1.
- Using voltmeter, measure voltage between pin C1-6, circuit 945 (Y/BK) and a good ground.

Is battery voltage present?

YES SERVICE short to battery on circuit 945 (Y/BK). RESTORE vehicle. REPEAT self test.
NO REPLACE seat module. RESTORE vehicle. REPEAT self test.
