DTC B1695: Autolamp On Short To Battery

B1695-1 - Check Lighting Control Module For Short To B+

- Disconnect lighting control module connectors.
- Turn ignition switch to RUN.

Is voltage B+?

YES GO to B1695-2.
NO RESTORE vehicle. CLEAR DTCs. PERFORM On-Demand self test. If DTC B1695 returns, REPLACE lighting control module.

B1695-2 - Check Circuit 220 (P/O) For Short To B+

- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect headlamp switch connectors.
- Turn ignition switch to RUN.
- Using a voltmeter, measure for voltage at lighting control module pin C2-6 circuit 220 (P/O).

Is voltage B+?

YES SERVICE circuit 220 (P/O) for short to B+. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
NO REPLACE headlamp switch. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
