A new single key lockset is being introduced.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
Refer to Figure 1 to view the difference between the old and new lockset designs.
If lockset replacement is necessary, order the needed components by referring to the New Design Locksets Chart.
NOTE:
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CUT TWO (2) DIFFERENT KEY CODES ON ONE (1) KEY. BOTH SIDES OF THE KEY ARE REQUIRED TO FUNCTION THE KEY CYLINDERS ON THE NEW DESIGN LOCKSETS.
Replacement of lock cylinders is basically the same as for the previous lock design except for a slight difference in ignition lock removal and installation.
REMOVAL
1. Turn ignition lock cylinder to RUN.
2. Place a 3.17 mm (1/8") diameter wire pin or small drift punch in hole in lower steering column shroud under ignition switch. Press retaining pin while pulling out on ignition switch lock cylinder to remove it from steering column cylinder housing.
INSTALLATION
1. Install ignition switch by turning it to RUN position (Figure 2).
2. To verify that key is in RUN position, press down on spring loaded retainer pin to see if it will fully depress into the cylinder.
3. Insert ignition switch lock cylinder into steering column lock cylinder housing.
4. Make sure ignition switch lock cylinder is fully seated and aligned in interlocking washer before turning ignition switch lock cylinder to OFF position. This will permit cylinder retaining pin to extend into steering column tube flange hole.
