ISSUE:
A "squealing" and/or "moaning" noise may be heard from the rear brakes during light to medium brake applications. This may be caused by the brake pads exciting the resonant frequency of the rotor resulting in the noise. This TSB article does not apply to Police, Taxi, Natural Gas (NGV), Gulf Coast Country (GCC), or Limo vehicles.

ACTION:
Replace the rear brake linings. The new linings do not have the same resonant frequency as the rotors which should help reduce the possibility of noise. Refer to the appropriate Service Manual, Section 06-04, for installation procedures.
