Reason For This Program
Engine oil cooler hoses may leak oil, burst or blow free from the crimp area at either the oil cooler (beneath the radiator) or at the oil filter adapter on the engine. This condition could result in major engine oil leaks, engine overheating, noise and, if ignored, possible loss of engine function.
Service Action
Owners will be notified and asked to return their cars for inspection and, if necessary, replacement of oil cooler hose assemblies. The service offered by this program is available through February 28, 1997.
Refunds
Only for owner-paid repairs made before the date of the Owner Letter (or after the date of the Owner Letter if an emergency repair was made away from the servicing dealer).
