Flow of Diagnosis

1. Verify the customer's concern by duplicating the condition.
2. Inspect to determine if one of the mechanical or electrical concerns apply:

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
- Damaged luggage compartment door lock cylinder.

Electrical
- Open fuses: Fuse junction panel
- Fuse 1 (10 A).
- Fuse 4 (10 A).
- Fuse 5 (10 A).
- Fuse 7 (15 A).
- Fuse 13 (10 A).
- Fuse 19 (10 A).
- Fuse 25 (10 A).
- Fuse 31 (15 A).
- Open Fuses: Power distribution box:
- Fuse 9 (40 A), 13 (30 A), 41 (20 A).
- Loose connections.
- Corroded Connections.
- Damaged switches.

3. If inspection reveals an obvious concern that is readily serviced, correct the concern before continuing with Inspection and Verification.
4. If a concern remains after the inspection, use the New Generation Star (NGS) Tester 007-00500 connected to the Data Link Connector (DLC) to retrieve continuous Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and to execute Self Test Diagnostics for the lighting control module/driver door module. If the NGS responds with NO RESPONSE/NOT EQUIPPED for the lighting control module, go to Pinpoint Test A. Test A: No Communication With Lighting Control Module
If the NGS responds with NO RESPONSE/NOT EQUIPPED for the driver door module, go to Pinpoint Test B. Test B: No Communication With Driver Door Module
5. If self test is passed and no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are retrieved, go to the Symptom Chart to continue diagnostics. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures

7. If the lighting control module cannot be accessed by the NGS tester, go to Pinpoint Test A. Test A: No Communication With Lighting Control Module
If the driver door module cannot be accessed by the NGS tester, go to Pinpoint Test B. Test B: No Communication With Driver Door Module
