Power Door Locks

The power door lock system consists of the following:
- Door latch remote control and links
- Door latches
- Door latch control rod knobs
- Door handle
- Door latch actuating rods
- Door lock cylinders
- Front door latch control cylinder rods
- Door latch striker plates
- Door lock switches in the front door trim panels
- Power door lock actuator inside each front door
- Rear door electric latch actuator located inside each rear door
- Driver door module
- Circuit wiring and circuit protection

In the at-rest position, each terminal of the power door lock actuator is connected to ground through the driver door module. Power is supplied to the system through Fuse 8 (30 A) located in the fuse junction panel on Circuit 554 (Y/BK).

When either door lock switch button (marked L) is pressed:
- Power flows through the door lock switch to the driver door module which powers the lock terminal on the power door lock actuators.
- All doors lock.







When either door lock switch button (marked U) is pressed:
- Power flows through the door lock switch to the driver door module which powers the unlock terminal on the power door lock actuator.
- All doors unlock.
