Sliding Roof Glass

REMOVAL







1. To remove glass panel, remove three roof sliding panel opening shield front retaining screws.
2. Slide roof sliding panel opening shield and sunshade fully rearward to expose six glass retaining screws (three each side).







3. To remove sunshade, remove glass retaining screws and washers.
4. Push glass up from inside vehicle and remove. Take care not to scratch glass or roof paint.
5. Slide roof sliding panel opening shield and sunshade forward halfway across moon roof opening.







6. Lift shield to clear sunshade tabs.
7. Push roof sliding panel opening shield fully rearward.
8. Slide sunshade fully forward.
9. Push spring-loaded rear guides inward to disengage rear guides from sunshade tracks.







10. Turn sunshade 90 degrees and remove through roof opening.

INSTALLATION
1. With sunshade at an angle, insert one sunshade rear tab under the side track sections at rear of moon roof opening.
2. Insert other rear tab and place sunshade in position.
3. Slide roof sliding panel opening shield forward, lifting it to clear sunshade front tabs.
4. Lower roof sliding panel opening shield onto sunshade at front tabs. Roof sliding panel opening shield must be outside of tabs or moon roof will not function properly.
5. Slide sunshade and roof sliding panel opening shield fully rearward.
6. Install glass. Align with holes for screws. Take care not to push lifter arm slide out of track.
7. Install six glass retaining screws and washers. Tighten screws to 1.0-1.5 (9-13 lb-in).
8. Adjust glass.
9. Slide roof sliding panel opening shield fully forward and install three screws. Tighten screws to 0.8-1.5 Nm (7-13 lb-in).
10. Close sunshade if desired.
