Instrument Cluster - Finish Panel






REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Set parking brake and turn ignition switch to OFF and move gearshift selector lever down to low gear position (column shift vehicles).
3. Tilt steering column tube down as far as possible.
4. Remove three screws at bottom of instrument panel steering column cover that retain it to the instrument panel. Unsnap instrument panel steering column cover from instrument panel and remove.
5. Remove screw at upper LH corner of instrument panel upper moulding that retains it to instrument panel.
6. Unsnap and remove instrument panel upper moulding from instrument panel.
7. Remove key release lever by unscrewing it from column and removing four screws.
8. Rotate ignition switch to RUN position. Using a 1/8 inch drift, press lock cylinder retaining pin through access hole and remove ignition switch.
9. Remove four retaining screws from steering column shroud and remove steering column shrouds.
10. Remove two upper and two lower screws retaining instrument panel finish panel to instrument panel.
11. Carefully pull instrument panel finish panel to unsnap the push connectors at each end.
12. From rear, disconnect electrical connectors and remove instrument panel finish panel.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
