Backup Lamp: Description and Operation

The backup lamp system consists of:
- Backup lamp in the rear reflector (part of rear lamp reflector)
- Transmission Range (TR) sensor
- Circuit wiring and circuit protection

The Transmission Range (TR) sensor is protected by fuse junction panel Fuse 34 (15A). This fuse is hot in RUN. With the transaxle in REVERSE, the switch in the transmission range sensor closes and power is provided to the backup lamp bulbs. Ground is provided to the backup lamp bulbs through Circuit 57 (BK).
