Headlamp: Adjustments
1. Before adjusting headlamps, perform Ride Height Adjustments.
NOTE: The headlamp assembly has been pre-aimed at the factory and has horizontal and vertical adjustment indicators on the lamp which have been pre-set to zero.
2. Park vehicle on level ground.
3. Lift hood and remove large plastic shield that extends across the vehicle just above the headlamps and grille.
4. Locate the vertical and horizontal adjustment indicators through a hole in the grille opening panel just above the headlamps.
5. Do not change the settings on the vertical or horizontal indicators, which have been pre-calibrated to a zero setting at the factory.
6. Using a 4 mm socket, turn the upstanding vertical adjustment screw clockwise or counterclockwise until the bubble in the vertical indicator is centered at zero. The headlamp is now correctly aimed in the vertical direction.
7. Using a 4 mm socket, turn the horizontal adjustment screw (located on the outboard side of the lamp) clockwise or counterclockwise until the pointer next to the bubble is pointing to the zero line on the black headlamp housing. The headlamp is now correctly aimed in the horizontal direction.
8. Replace the large plastic shield above the headlamps and check the headlamps for proper operation.
