Fuel Filter: Service Precautions

WARNINGS

- Fuel supply tubes will remain pressurized for long periods of time after engine shut down. This pressure must be relieved before servicing of the fuel system is begun to prevent accidental spraying of fuel resulting in personal injury or fire hazard. A valve is provided on the fuel charging assembly for this purpose. Remove the air cleaner. Attach EFI/CFI Fuel Pressure Gauge T80L-9974-B or equivalent to the fuel diagnostic valve on the fuel charging assembly. Pressure in the fuel system may now be released.

- Because of the combustion characteristics of gasoline, always use extreme care when removing and installing any fuel system component to prevent personal injury or fire hazard.
