Brake Switch - TCC: Testing and Inspection

DESCRIPTION
The Brake On/Off (BOO) switch is connected to the brake pedal. When the brake pedal is pressed, the BOO switch has closed contacts allowing a voltage signal to the powertrain control module (PCM). The PCM releases the torque convertor clutch (TCC) when the brakes are applied.

SYMPTOMS
^ Failed ON: TCC will not engage at less than one-third engine throttle.
^ Failed OFF or not connected: TCC will not release when brake is applied.
