Anti-Theft Alarm System

The perimeter anti-theft system provides vehicle protection as follows:
- The anti-theft alarm system activates the visual and audio alarms and disables the engine if a violation of the locked vehicle occurs.
- The anti-theft alarm system is managed by the steering column/ignition/lighting control module.
- The anti-theft alarm system provides perimeter (unauthorized vehicle entry) protection.
- The anti-theft alarm system powers up in the same mode as when the power was interrupted.
- A violation of the perimeter security (sensed through the door ajar switches) will sound the horn, flash the headlamps, the parking lamps and the courtesy lamps.
- The anti-theft alarm system protects the engine compartment through a pin switch (located on the RH front fender apron).
